Corrosion Control

The reference electrode with the LED panel is a reader of the potential at which the structure is located below the waterline with respect to the electrolyte (seawater). How do we know if the zinc anodes are working, or if they have been used up too much?

The electrode tells us at all times if the current drained by the protection system (whether sacrificial anodes or impressed current) is sufficient to protect the metal of our boat.

The image shows a reference electrode installed on the stern of the fishing vessel AMERICA I, (port of Mar del Plata).
